We have many descriptions for this tremendous day in the Book of Allaah. It is the day that every soul, from the beginning of time to the end will be presented before Allaah.
“And every one of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender).” [Surat Maryam: 95]
“And they will be presented before your Lord in rows, [and He will say], “You have certainly come to Us just as We created you the first time. But you claimed that We would never make for you an appointment.’” [Surat al Kahf: 48]
On that day, the judgement will occur and the secrets that were concealed in the dunya will be exposed.
“And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known.” [Surat al ‘Adiyat: 10]
“The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth).” [Surat at-Tariq: 9]
“That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of yours will be hidden.” [Surat al Haqqah:18]
This is the day about which there is no doubt. The fear of it brings the believer to a state of humility before his Lord since he knows that he is being watched and heard by the All-Seeing, All-Hearing Lord of the Worlds.
May the Ever-Living forgive us and allow us to meet Him on that Day pure from the filth of sins. May the Salaah and the Salaam of Allaah be upon the final Messenger.
